What is Ahead in May, 2022

The roots of May's actions lie in the Jupiter/Neptune conjunction in Pisces in mid April. We were inspired to dream a new dream and release limiting ideas of the past. Starting with last weekend's dynamic solar eclipse involving Venus in Pisces Neptune, then Jupiter, those plans are about to take shape. A solar eclipse can last a while, so be prepared for a year of change. (drug companies - Neptune - are applying for approval of vaccine treatments of children not previously covered - Venus/Jupiter, for example). May is giving us fuel to move forward.

Since 2008, Pluto has been in Capricorn - slowly, slowly transforming our awareness of powerful institutions that run our country (and us!). For the past few days, Pluto has been making a station in Capricorn - not moving at all. Pluto is not budging, in other words, and this is happening very close to the United States' natal Pluto. Secrets are exposed, so they can be dealt with. ( SCOTUS' opinion about Roe vs. Wade has been circulated. I expect more revelations about the January 6 insurrection.)

May 2, 2022. Venus enters risk taking Aries. Venus has entered much more direct territory in Aries and can boldly assert what it wants. Topic: How to be in relationship without compromising one's self.

May 3, 2022. Jupiter sextiles Pluto - collective energy to address changes needed in our most powerful, patriarchal institutions. There will be push back, however!

May 10, 2022 - Mercury goes retrograde at 4 Gemini. Mercury retrograde is not bad, but it can be frustrating if you love checking things off your to-do list. Surrender the list and review, revise and edit. It is not a time to move forward. Attention is drawn to things you may have missed or need to change. Mercury goes direct again in about 3 weeks.

May 11, 2022. Jupiter enters the bold sign of Aries, too. If you want to discover a theme, go back in increments of 12 years and see if a theme emerges. Jupiter spends a year in each sign, so this will be the theme for the next year. The question for everyone is where have I limited myself? Where has it felt too selfish of me to stand up for what I want?

May 13, 2022 - Taurus Sun Conjuncts Transiting North Node. In a comic tug of war, we are encouraged to leave the comfortable past behind and reach for something out of our comfort zone. Something new. North Node being in Taurus, it might be good to let yourself snell the roses, literally. Surround yourself with plants and living things and enjoy all the sensual delights of the earth. Give thanks for your security and stability and realize it is not a result of financial success alone. May 15, 2022. Venus conjunct Chiron - where do I need to stand firm for what I believe in, who I am, and how can I acknowledge this publicly?

May 16. 2022 - Lunar Eclipse and Full Moon. This eclipse is total and will be right on the transiting South Node. The full moon increases our visibility of what we need to release in order to move forward. The totality of the eclipse ramps up its affect on everyone. Something might happen on May 16, but an eclipse lasts for a while, so the effect may not be immediate. Give up drama for the sake of practicality and stability! Be self confident!

May 18, 2022 - Mars conjunct Neptune in Pisces. The best of this transit is to listen to your inner spiritual warrior. Stand up for compassion and spiritual values. The downside is it can inflate paranoid, conspiracy theories. Listen to the good angel on your shoulder, not the devil on the other side.

May 21, 2022 - Sun enters Gemini and conjuncts Mercury. Mercury rules the sign Gemini, so it is a good thing to channel your ego into communication projects of all types - writing, listening, talking. The downside here is that media an be motivated by their ego (Sun) rather than the truth. Mercury can play the Trickster card, too. And Mercury is retrograde right now.

May 25, 2022 - Mars enters Aries. Mars in Aries gives the power to act. Mercury is still retrograde, so it is best to act on correcting past - review, revise, edit, remember?

May 28, 2022 - Venus enters Taurus. With both Mars and Venus now in their strongest signs, romance may be on the agenda. With mercury in retrograde, someone from the past may return. If they are still around when mercury goes direct in June, they are a keeper. If not, what did you learn from the experience? Take good care of yourself - rest, good food, good things to hear, see, smell, taste and feel.

Venus is in charge of the pleasure principle, so have some fun!

May 30, 2022 - New Moon in Gemini - the ruler of the new Moon, Mercury, is now stationery and preparing to go direct. This is the beginning of a growth cycle. Time to make your move!
