November 15 - Full Moon in Taurus

Friday, November 15, will see the Full Moon in Taurus - the Beaver Moon. My son loves beavers (the animal!), so I love that. It will be the last SuperMoon of the year, so it will shine big and bright in the night sky. And today is my birthday, so the transits today become my solar return (when the Sun returns to the place where it started).

Before I talk about the Full Moon, I want to apologize for being wrong in calling the election for Kamala. I forgot the first rule of astrology, which is that astrological symbols are neutral. I ran my interpretation of those symbols through my own biases, looking at transits in the next year and felt they could be explained via a Kamala win. I was amazed how chaotic the country looked in 2025, but of course, that reflected theTrump victory and ensuing circus. Each of the voters has free will to vote as they wish. Knowing the preference of every voter is not 100% possible. Otherwise, I am interpreting a likelihood, not a fact.

The election happened during the Last Gasp of Capricorn energy which Donald Trump certainly personifies. The 29 degrees of Capricorn is very dark father energy. And, Mafia-

like, Trump embodies that toxic male superiority. So here we are.

At the full Moon (the Public) , the Sun (Executive Power) in Scorpio (Biden is a Scorpio) opposes the Moon (the Public) in Taurus. Taurus has long been a good description of Republican power. But today, the conservative Republican party has been radicalized to be dominated by the MAGA party of Trump. Quite fittingly, the Moon is conjunct radical and revolutionary Uranus. The Moon (public) and Uranus (radicals) are in harmony with Pluto in Capricorn (dark father) forces. Big surprise. Look at the Cabinet choices!

The presence of Uranus so near the Sun/Full Moon signifies an awakening for all members of the public as to what is in store during the next few years.

Uranus' energy can also be seen in the outrageous picks of Trump loyalist Matt Gaetz's for Attorney General, ostensibly to weaponize the DOJ against Trump's personal enemies. (Never mind that Gaetz has been investigated for sexual ethics, i.e., sex with a minor - Trump is a convicted sex offender, so maybe that makes him a member of the club.) The nomination of conspiracy theorist Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., to head up the Department of Health & the FDA is also of deep concern. He has spread disinformation about the need for COVID masking, which angers those whose loved ones have either died from COVID or had their life severely impacted by Long Covid.

Also in the sky tomorrow is Mars in Leo opposing that "last gasp" of Capricorn energy, symbolised by Pluto in Capricorn. The God of War vs. the Lord of the Underworld does not sound like a fun match up, does it? It implies power struggles, and even the potential for violence, although that will not be the most common manifestation. Scorpio, Taurus and Leo are all fixed signs - they are entrenched points of view.

Today a kite shape forms - Grand Trine topped off by a double sextile. Energy is flowing witout hindrance - in this case the Sun (Executive power)in Scorpio (a power conscious sign) to Mars in Leo (actions of someone in authority), Neptune in Pisces (often fantastical thinking) and Pluto in Capricorn (Dark patriarchal energy). It is pretty easy to see this as Trump's unchecked power, but it also applies to the Biden administration, seeing the opposition clearly (full moon) and acting (Mars) in defiance of the threat of revenge (Pluto) and working behind the scenes (Neptune in Pisces) to do what it can tominimize damage. Every astrological symbol carries a duality - people get to choose which one they approve or disapprove of.

The United States Sibley Chart is having Chiron return to the place it occupied in 1776 in the sign Aries. The Chiron return in the sign of identity asks the question, "Who are we? What will we stand for?" The answer in 1776 was to eventually emerge as a democratic republic. Will we be able to say the same in 2025?

If you feel depressed, in fear or heartbroken about the direction the country is taken, please do not let yourself collapse into fear. That helps no one and lowers our collective vibe. Do something kind, be caring to another person, find your courage, set your boundaries. We may not control the collective environment, but we do control our choices to do good in our community.
