Jupiter Goes Retrograde On October 9, 2024

If you have a sensitive point in the sign Gemini, you are receiving a visit from the planet Jupiter this year. Jupiter is the planet of expansion, of opportunity. Any planet Jupiter contacts in its' year long stay is invited to respond to a new opportunity - one you never thought you could fulfill.

Jupiter entered Gemini on May 26, and raced through twenty degrees of the sign until it stopped still on October 7, preparing to go retrograde (backward) on October 10. This is a powerful time. The slower a planet's motion, the more time it has to build depth and complexity. At its best, Gemini is wonderful at communication of all kinds. Jupiter is on a quest to find the truth. Facts + Truth = All good, right? Every planet has a lower expression, too, however. Gemini has been known to use words to dance with truth, too. I think we have seen some of that!

While Jupiter has been in direct motion, from May to October 10, we may have been seized with a new idea. Maybe it is a blog, a book, a diary. With Jupiter, planet of publishing in the sign of the Great Communicator, chances of a written work being published are heightened. During the five months of the retrograde, we can review our actions and reactions and get a new perspective. Any retrograde is an opportunity to look back and ask what you would like to do differently.

On February 4, Jupiter in Gemini will stop and turn around at 11 degrees Gemini to resume direct motion. Time to act! At that time, we will be invited to pursue what we see as truth and adjust our philosophy to fit the facts. Our invitation from Jupiter is that it is time to step up to the plate and take a swing at an opportunity we never thought was within our scope.

Jupiter in Gemini has been squaring (challenged by) Saturn in Pisces (learning to ground your imagination). Under these influences, we could see some traction in exposing the truth and discriminating between lies and misinformation that have been surrounding this election, often put forth by foreign actors.

Pluto has backed into Capricorn for a last gasp of the behaviors we have seen rampant since 2016. This weekend, Pluto will prepare to go into action. Pluto deserves his own post, so I will be back very soon!
