Astrology for Tuesday, April 27 - Pluto Goes Retrograde

Scorpio and Scorpio-er. Monday was the full Moon in Scorpio, opposing the Taurus Sun and Uranus. Pluto, the ruler of Scorpio, was also standing still, preparing to go retrograde (backward) today, April 27. Any planet standing still is very powerful, so. Monday may have had a great deal of intensity.

Today, Pluto begins a retrograde journey, going back toward places it touched earlier in the year. On January 6, the day of the Capitol Insurrection, Pluto was at 24 degrees Capricorn. Pluto will pass over that point again on 9/12/21 and 10/30 - 11/1/21. You might mark your calendar, as those are likely to be significant dates. We will not have an exact repeat of the January 6 Insurrection, but the theme of events those days may be similar. Those that endorse the Big Lie that Biden lost the election (not true) and the question of what is real patriotism may be reprised.

But the truth is a little more far ranging than those things. During the time that Pluto has occupied Capricorn, we have seen a breakdown of traditional institutions and white male dominated society. For the first time, Pluto in Capricorn is headed toward a return at 27 degrees Capricorn to the place it occupied during the American revolution.

I believe this Scorpio Full Moon and the Retrograde Pluto are giving us the chance to have a revolution of sorts. I'm not necessarily talking armed revolt. I don't like to think about that. I am thinking about a revolution in energy - moving away from fossil fuels to a greener energy solution. I am talking about a revolution in how people think about government. Reagan famously said that government was not the solution. Government was the problem. Biden's administration obviously believes government has a role to play and that it can make life better for the middle class. This plays well with the public. (instead of pushing popular policies, the GOP prefers to restrict voting rights to maintain control). That was the idea of the Revolution in 1776 - the rights of man. It did not go far enough and often failed in execution, but it was and still is, a worthy idea and a worthy goal.

We are going through deep territory that has already seen the transformative effects of Pluto, speeding (well, Pluto doesn't actually speed - it is pretty slow in motion) toward the Pluto return for the United States. We decide what it will bring.
