Astrology for Sunday, January 3

Yesterday, there was a Grand Trine in Fire Signs. Today, there is also a Grand Trine - but it is in the Earth Element signs: Sun in Capricorn trine Uranus in Taurus trine Moon and Vesta in Virgo. This should be a calmer trine, and more grounded. As a Water element person, there was a lot of steam coming out of my ears!

Earth element is grounding and practical. It is also involved in the other major aspect today: Moon and Vesta in Virgo oppose Neptune in Pisces - all about the healthcare situation. Of course, all these planets are square the nodes of the Moon, too. The opposition speaks to the difficulty in containing the virus and finding hospital space and supplies (Neptune) and the hard working, compassionate health care workers (Moon and Vesta).

I am hoping the trine will bring some good developments for those working to contain the disease. The nodes certainly bring in a karmic note - and those that have the philosophy that vaccinations are not good for you vs. the scientific community.

Because everything in astrology has more than one meaning, the opposition between Moon/Vesta in Virgo and Neptune in Pisces can also mean some spin is being spun that paints a distorted picture of reality (Virgo).
