As Above, So Below: Action Time for Many Planets

Mercury , currently occupying Sagittarius, will go retrograde on November 26 until slowing down and moving forward December 15-16. Mercury involves thoughts, facts and communication, We frequently see disruptions in our communication devices, in appointments, lost keys, etc. during a retrograde. This happens partly to slow us down, giving us time to absorb information, remerging with new perspective on an old issue.

As Mercury in Sagittarius (sign ruled by Jupiter) goes retrograde, it is already in mutual reception with retrograde Jupiter in Gemini (sign ruled by Mercury). We may hear a new perspective on truth, facts, beliefs - areas ruled by the Gemini - Sagittarius axis, especially now through December 8. A battle of belief vs. fact - something that doesn't seem to be in short supply today anyway.

The sky is pretty busy right now. Saturn in Pisces is also moving direct now, unfettered by the slowing down of its retrograde phase. Saturn is the lawgiver and the time keeper of reality. Pisces involved the ocean of what lies beyond reality - and sometimes the ocean itself. Some climate related flooding has been a harsh reality in parts of the world. But Saturn could also provide grounding in reality and curb some of the fantastical conpiracy thinking - if people choose to let it do so.

There are two auspicious kites (free flowing energy with the planets involved) in the sky; a Mystic Rectangle (tension within harmony - hard to read and ambivalent) and two Grand crosses (think of a four way stop in traffic). The Sun (Executive Branch) opposes the chaotic agenda of Uranus in Taurus (radicalization of conservatives). Mars in Leo reinforces the actions of the current Executive Branch but is opposed by Pluto in Aquarius (Mafia like corruption). Neptune in Pisces (secretive agendas, fantastical thinking, confusion) is opposedby the Moon (public) in Libra, a sign of balance, fairness and a desire to get along. Many people are confused, with no clear direction. They may offer fairness to those who think such actions are weakness.

Many people I know are feeling rudderless and stunned by Trump's victory. I'd like to offer a quote from a wise friend and client, Shari, who wrote this in response to one of my blogs about Pluto in Aquarius: "We had our hopes up for the election, but we are in for change and we could have taken the slow or the fast route.  We took the fast, chaotic one. However painful it might be and chaotic, Trump is going to help move our energy more quickly to where we need to be. The young people will rebel and be disgusted by Trump.  They will change the world for the better. It’s going to be quite a ride for the next 6 years. Full of climate disasters, political uprising and upheaval. Financial too, but in the end, I think we will emerge as a better place for all the people of the world."

The planets cannot tell us what we must choose. They present us with times of choice as they arrive in our chart. I think Shari has it right. We are going to learn, no matter what. We might have learned our lessons gently or we may learn them in harder fashion. One thing we do not get the option to do is ignore the questions they pose. So, as always, hold the energy of the collective in a high vibration, fear free. If we feel a bit rudderless, it is not time to act. Wait for clarity.
